About Kitchen of Light: Throughout this dazzling cookbook—the companion piece to his upcoming American public television series New Scandinavian Cooking with Andreas Viestad—the young, charming author combines a lyrical narrative, personal essays that illustrate his passion for living, and flavorful recipes to introduce us to his Scandinavia. Readers will feel as if they are alongside Viestad fishing for halibut, gathering chanterelles and berries, and later serving these ingredients in impressive dishes.

Copies of Andreas’s book will be available for purchase and autographing by the author at the event ($35, cash or check made payable to ChicaGourmets!).


The Metropolitan Club is a private club located on the 67th floor of the Sears Tower, which offers its members fine dining with a magnificent panoramic view of the city.

Price is $85.00 per person, for members of either ChicaGourmets! or the Metropolitan Club, or $90.00 for non-members, inclusive.

Discounted parking is available at the garage across from The Sears Tower on Franklin St. for $5.00 for visitors to The Metropolitan Club who enter the garage after 4:00pm. Parking fee must be paid at the reception desk of The Metropolitan Club.
